Workshop Name
Together we will explore what we lost when we moved into a world of technology and increasing isolation, and how we can move back into our bodies in a way that metabolizes daily anxieties and stresses. To grow our hands back means to get back in touch with the the basic necessities of our humanity: using our hands for connecting to others, tending to plants and the living environment, preparing food, and using our voices for song and storytelling. This workshop will be a mix of experiential techniques we will practice together, and information about how to implement these practices in daily living and knowledge about how these practices relate to the regulation of our nervous system. Inspired by the tale, “The Handless Maiden.”
