Yoga and Ayurveda for Burnout
Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or burnt out? In this workshop, you will learn carefully curated yoga techniques (movement, breathwork, mantra & meditation) and concepts from Ayurveda to help you feel nurtured, refreshed & energized. We will explore how burnout can manifest, what Ayurveda and yoga philosophy can teach us about burnout and how to prevent it, and practice various techniques to transform burnout into vitality and connection. You will leave the workshop with simple tools that you can incorporate into your everyday life to help you prevent and recover from burnout.
Caitlin Brown (she/her/hers) is a trauma-informed yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and social worker (LMSW), who has been teaching yoga since 2010 (E-RYT 500). She has her own business, Mindful Detroit, through which she offers yoga classes, professional development, employee wellness workshops, and individual yoga therapy. She is also an adjunct professor in the Yoga & Mindfulness Minor at Wayne State University. She is particularly passionate about addressing trauma, burnout, and self-care.
