Awaken Your Soul retreat

Awaken Your Soul

A jungle bliss retreat in Costa Rica

FEBRUARY 16-22ND 2025

We welcome you to join us as we once again travel to Costa Rica! This time we will be venturing to the Caribbean side. This side is full of clear water, a bounty of fresh food, rich with Caribbean culture & a plethora of wildlife!

This retreat is an invitation to truly awaken your soul. What does soul awakening look like? Well, it is a different experience for each one of us but I believe it means waking up to your true voice and living your life authentically. One thing we can all agree on is that life is full of surprises both expected and unexpected. This retreat is a chance to both fully enjoy the glorious surprises of your life AND a chance to sharpen your tool set and coping skills for how to handle with grace the curve balls that life throws at you. Too many of us- too much of the time are racing through our lives.

You know the feeling when days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months and before you know it another year has gone. You are a little older - but are you wiser? Are the years just adding gray hairs and stress to your body, or are your years adding magic and wonder to your soul?

This retreat is for you if:

  • you are looking to reinvigorate yourself

  • to feel passionate and excitement about your life

  • to gain clarity and develop a healthier mind, body routine for yourself

  • to be surrounded by supportive community

  • to have fun and shake things up and surprise yourself.

  • you need a break- you need a getaway. You have been burning the candle at both ends.

Our bodies are amazing machines really truly - and the longer we go without truly investing in self care that looks like more than just bubble baths and Netflix binges the greater the chance that our body will speak to us LOUDLY.

This retreat is a chance to disconnect so you can reconnect. Reconnect to your soul and your authentic voice.

Now - to share all the details of this EPIC retreat!

I have been to Costa Rica several times and each time it’s been such a special experience. The wildlife is probably my favorite part - the lushness of the jungle and the abundance of animals. That's why in my planning I knew I had to search for somewhere where we would get to see and experience the wildlife of this incredible country. I also am So excited to be journeying this time to the Caribbean side of Costa Rica- the culture is heavily influenced by the Caribbean islands, the water is blue and clear; and the animals are in abundance.

Picture waking up each morning listening to the Toucans and the howler monkeys and even watching a mama sloth and her baby crawl around the trees!

We are staying at Casa Firefly. Casa Firefly is a retreat center equipped with everything we need for a fabulous retreat week. Here the jungle meets the sea; the retreat center is a short 5 minute walk to the beach. We will have the center all to ourselves- the center is designed and owned by a retreat leader herself and her husband.

They have covered all the important details: a gorgeous pool and yoga studio ( equipped with yoga mats and props). This is a place where you will feel pampered yet in the lush jungle- the best of both worlds I like to say!

I have been leading people on retreats around the world now for 10 years and honestly they just keep getting better. It's hard to describe the level of magic that happens on these trips. People come as strangers yet leave as dear friends and even feel like family. We laugh, cry, play, adventure, share and experience a wide range of emotions and new experiences together. These retreats have the power to change YOU! To transform your life- and most importantly help you pause and take the time to slow down and savor this precious life.

Plus- A winter getaway to Costa Rica is just what the holistic doctor ordered. A big dose of vitamin D, vitamin SEA ( add fish Emoji) and vitamin J for jungle add animal emojis will surely be the medicine your soul needs come February. These retreats offer the perfect balance of rest and adventure. Some evenings we end with yoga Nidra and some we end dancing.

To call this a yoga retreat wouldn’t quite suffice. These retreats are experiences that can change your life. In addition to our daily yoga, we have a journal packet that we work through. We always have partner and somatic healing experiences, lots of circle shares and opportunities to connect to ourselves and one another on a much deeper level than we would in a normal yoga class.

About Beth

A long time yoga teacher (almost two decades) I started Barefoot originally as a yoga festival set in the woods in Proud Lake, Michigan. My vision was to bring people together to combine all my personal favorite healing things: yoga, nature and community! That was over 9 years ago; since then I added international and local yoga retreats. I have taken over 200 around people all around the world; retreats are like being in a mini yoga family for a week! I have lead them in Bali, Greece, Morocco, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Sedona, Joshua Tree, Northern Michigan, Dominican Republic to name a few:)

Over the last few years, my purpose has been working with women and leading embodiment circles and women's retreats. These are super intimate experiences where we share about sex, sensuality, pleasure, our struggles with being feminine and being a woman. I now am leading feminine embodiment courses and retreats specific for women wanting to break free and truly embody their feminine essence without shame or shadows! I am a mama of two incredible daughters and we love singing, gardening, biking and doing anything creative outside. I am a huge fan of Topo Chico and pour over coffee, I love a sweaty run in the woods and talking to trees!

My dream day is spent outside somewhere warm with my man, my kiddos, and delicious food and lots of belly laughs!

What guests have said about our Retreats:

“This is so much than a yoga retreat - this is a chance to reconnect to the part of you that longs to be dreamy and childlike. The part of you that knows you deserve to feel good and take care of your whole being. Our retreats leave you inspired and excited to return home and integrate the wisdom you gain through yoga, community, self discovery as well as learning about the ways of the traditional tribes of Costa Rica.” - Jodi

“I travelled to Dominican Republic and Costa Rica to attend Beth's retreats. From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, I was enveloped in a sense of calm and serenity that lingered throughout my stay. Beth picks beautiful locations that provide the perfect backdrop for yoga sessions, allowing us to connect with nature. Beth guides you with gentle encouragement and unwavering support, whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner. Beyond the physical practice, Beth sets up daily meditation/circle sessions for a much-needed opportunity for introspection and inner peace. You share laughter, stories, and moments of vulnerability with like-minded individuals. The supportive atmosphere encouraged personal growth and self-discovery, leaving you feeling inspired and empowered to continue your journey when you return home. Beth is a real thing when it comes to guiding people onto their transformative journey. I look forward to more retreats, and to continue to learn from her vast experience.” - Judith T.
